nice to visit, gives lots of info on water :)

and it has some interactive games inside, a 3D cinema and a nice park for a picnic after you finish.

We enjoyed this museum very much. While it is entirely in French, they did provide us with a translation for one of the rooms. We had a mid ride lunch on the terrace at Musee de l'eau and really enjoyed it, despite the weather. Pont en Royan is a charming, and very busy small town with several places offering lunch. We chose the Musee because it seemed more comfortable, and weren't disappointed.

Here is the secret that matters to me: The sparkling mineral water of King Louis 16 still exist but is very hard to find and to buy... but this museum has it and they sell it. I know no other place selling this water, which is otherwise reserved for elite restaurants only.

The site is really beautiful, Pont-en-Royan is a nice village with beautiful places to swim, especially for kids. The museum however is very small, the information only in French and thus our visit was quite boring. Not worth the €6,50.

too much too read, in French. But 1 or 2 interesting bits, 3D film, quiz which dripped water on you if you got a question wrong, flooded house, artesian well....
