This is an ok beach. There are vendors who will try to sell you food and other souvenirs at an extremely high price. Not worth.

Worst beach in the tropics I have ever seen. The greenery around it is otherwise beautiful. Do not come here if you want to see a white sand, tropical paradise like Punta Cana. Also, expect lots of sand fleas.

Hi, Just got back (Feb.4th to 12th) so I'll answer my own question and tell you what I found out and experienced. Transportation from GBP SJ. I took a private cab from the resort with the family (4) right outside the main resort for 40$US there and back. That included Raffael with an older model van with only two working... More

I stopped by on a Monday afternoon in February because I had been advised about crowds on the weekends. Even on Monday, though, there were a lot of people on a very small beach, and it was dirty. Really dirty. My friend pulled a rusty nail out of the sand, I dodged sharp bottle caps sticking up from the beach,... More

We visited Caleton beach today , what a great beach, not a big and wide beach but the scenery was gorgeous . Great swimming , my husband went snorkeling and came out with a bag full of broken glass, broken bottles, we even picked a lot just on the shoreline , so watch your feet not to get cut .... More

Not much to say. It´s the perfect excursion when being on the north coast in the Dominican rep. Safe, picturesque, and a great lunch (we had deep fried platanas with parrot fish). Nice people, clean water, safe swimming/snorkeling, laid back feeling.

We visited Playa Caleton this past December. Our specific goal was a sunset walk on the beach, and this one was perfect. It's soft sand is in a gentle arch around a natural coral lagoon. The protected entrance from the open Atlantic Ocean gives this beach gentle waves ideal for families and not-so-strong swimmers. There is also a test deal... More

Beautiful beach, and clear blue sea. Small but I do not like crowded places. You can have food and drink if you wish. A good day out.
