We loved the Valle de Cocora. We went out on ~9:20 Willey and made it back to Salento ~3:30. We did the full 5 hour loop, but went up the left side (more formal trail) and came down the right side (cloud canyon). The day...More

Entry fee was included in our tour. Lush green Mountains covered with forest , there were very tall slim wax palm trees standing everywhere ,,They are Colombia’s National trees .We chose to walk /climb thorough easy slope .but there were horses available to ride ....More

The valley is realy beautifull and the walk is impressive. You shouldn’t miss this one. The sad thing is that we were ripped off during our walk. We made the walk counter lock wise and paid 3000 COP at the start point. Nearly At the...More

Hiked the valley for a couple of days. Not overly difficult but certainly not easy. The palm trees are amazing - truly a sight. The hummingbirds were unfortunately not terribly present as apparently it was too warm so not a ton of them to see....More

I would highly recommend doing the jungle part first get the hard part done and when you get to the valley you can take a well deserved nap. I am going to be honest with you that nap was probably the best part, just falling...More

Cocora is a nice privately owned park that offers a nice 5 hour hike through a pretty landscape. It is really easy to get on the right path at the beginning. Don't go straight, but turn right to the red/white ticket booth.

The coffee region is a must when visiting Colombia. We stayed in Salento (20-30 minutes Drive) and drove Into eje cafetero with 3 young kids (8,5 and 3). I highly recommend arriving early to get a good parking spot and rent the horses for the...More

As we were limited on time, we only did a hour and a half round trip to the Bosque, rather than the 5 hour loop. It was absolutely stunning! We finished it off with a cheesy hot chocolate at the viewpoint cafe (definitely try this!)...More

I chose the long tour of the valley, of 12 km and even though the last 30 min up the hill to the too were hard, it was worth it. It was a real hiking through the valley and the forest. On the way, PAY...More

It’s save to walk without a guide, even when you’re alone. Lots of people there. The short route will take you straight to the valley. If you want to go to the colibrie house you’ll have to take the long route. The long... More

There are some options with a guide or even horsehide. The hike should not be so difficult and you can choose taking a shorter one. Will still be a very good experience
