We spent five hours here. It was busy but it was bank holiday weekend and perfect sunny day so to be expected. Lovely gardens felt like I had stepped back in time in some parts. Good mixture of gardens and buildings. Lovely view from top of tower. Peaceful surroundings. Facilities good, only bought drinks as took picnic which we ate... More

Beautiful place but the day out was spoilt by the greed of the national trust.£13.75 was more than enough to pay for entrance but then £3.00 for parking is just over the top.We were told it was for maintenance of the carpark but it was just a dusty patch of ground that hasn't been touched for years ! By stopping... More

Been to Sissinghurst a few times so seen the gardens in different seasons. Visited in the spring so lots of lovely tulips and blossoms, bluebells in the wooded areas. But I really like the walks around the castle - try the vegetable garden, the walk around the lake and then the walk from there through the woods and meadows back... More

Another National Trust gem. The gardens are lovely and the estate walks are recommended. Nice cafe too.

This venue is located off the A262, approached along a lane in a very pretty area. The title is misleading as there isn't a castle, but there is a tower with panoramic views across the Wealden countryside. The gardens are very nice, but not stunning. It's a lovely tranquil area for walking and I would recommend a visit for a... More

Beautifully conceived and laid out, a pleasure to visit throughout the seasons- arrive at opening time and dash through to far end, to beat the crowds if you want photo's without people. As the garden has many interconnecting "rooms" there is plenty to enjoy, even when busy

Spent a lovely 2 hours here, arrived at 11 to get in before the crowds, gardens beautiful although the White Garden was not in full bloom, super view from the tower and a lovely 1 mile walk around the outside of the grounds. Excellent little cafe serving the usual NT cakes. I preferred here to G Dixter as it was... More

Having spent a few days in Kent we knew that Sissinghurst was a place not to be missed and this proved true as soon as it came into view. Everywhere that you looked was stunning and I was highly amused by the fact that everyone talking around me was either Dutch, German, French or other in speaking. This place is... More

After nearly 10 years we made a re-visit to this gem of a garden situated in the beautiful Weald of Kent in the "Garden of England" & it did not disappoint!!! Wonderful selection of blooms - the wisteria is exceptional right now. Stunning views over the countryside from the top of the tower. Well worth a visit - we will... More

Visited Sissinghurst Castle Gardens yesterday with a friend and would thoroughly recommend a visit. Lovely little cafe, great picnic area in a quiet country setting and beautiful gardens. Perfect time of year to visit, beautiful flowers in full bloom in one of the best kept gardens I have seen. I will definitely be going back again soon.
