Magical old place, one of many on the trail, but I dare say the best of them all. Served as a film set for one of Andrzej Wajda's films. Great area for an extensive walk around it.

Well hidden on a way out from Zawiercie in a village called Podzamcze. An amazing proof of old architecture full of history and legends of ghosts and haunting black dog... We spent there around 4 hours, checking every hole and stairs and that's only the...More

It is the best castle among all eagle nests. It is the largest one and better prepared for your visit. If you have no time for complete eagle nests trip you must to visit at least this one.

Beautiful location in the Jura with amazing views all around it. One of top castle ruins in Poland. If you come with children then you will also find handy lots of activities including small yet original amusement park just next to the castle.

Beautiful place if you like history and castles. Also there is a great rope park, but in November it was closed.

No, you can only buy tickets directly at the entrance. They do not provide it online. You can always order a guide by e-mail: biuro@zamek-ogrodzieniec.pl but I think, the best is to discover the castle itself.
I will be staying in Krakow centre. Is there a way to visit the Ogrodzieniec Castle by bus? Many thanks Lisa

You should better travel by PKP train. First, go to Zawiercie station, then take a bus no 7 to Podzamcze.
