Everyone has a dream. José Paronella’s dream became a reality. On 5 Hectares beside Mena Creek Falls he built his castle, picnic area by the falls, tennis courts, bridges, a tunnel, and wrapped it up in an amazing range of 7,500 tropical plants and trees. He even harnessed the waterfall for his electricity. It opened to the public in 1935.Today, visitors to the park marvel at the achievements of one man. Admission to Paronella Park is valid for 12 months and covers all of the tours (a 45 minute guided walk that explains this extraordinary story & takes you through the highlights as well as the stunning Darkness Falls Tour where the castles and waterfall are flood-lit to allow for amazing photo opportunities). Admission also includes the souvenir guide book, fish food, umbrellas, access to the online photo gallery as well as a site for one night in the adjacent van park.

The Castle was built by Jose Paronella 1930/35. After Jose death in 1948 Paronella Park fell into disrepair But it has now been returned to almost it's former glory by Mark/Judy Evans. Spectacular is an understatement. This place is a must see in North Queensland. We saw it in the rain which made it even more special as the waterfalls... More

My fiancé and I went to Paronella on our romantic trip away and it was one of the stars of our trip. It is an extremely romantic place and the ruins are breathtaking not to mention the story behind Jose nearly brought me to tears. The staff are incredible, everyone was so happy and believed in the place as much... More

We stayed overnight in a cabin. Although it rained most of the time we were still able to do all tours with the umbrellas supplied by the Park. We highly recommend a visit to this magical place. it caters for everyone and the customer service is above our expectations. Thank you for a memorable experience we will be back.

We bought a double park pass at $67 per person to go to Mamu Skywalk and Parenolla park. The park shows the ruins and 5 heactares of walkways. Night time the park is lighted up. I find the entry cost pretty steep but if you are happy to pay for that to have a look a Jose Paronella Castle (once... More

I found the park was just beautiful. It was a great day out and I would definitely recommend people to go visit. It cost about $45 to go in but that pass lasts for 2 years and they are pretty much open all year round :)

We visited on a gloriously hot Sunday and had a wonderful tour and visit. Flora and fauna just beautiful, our guide was very knowledgeable and we'd certainly not hesitate to visit again.

What an amazing place, we just loved the park so much. The staff are excellent and Luke who took us on a night tour was fantastic. He is very funny and knowledgeable on the surroundings. Mark the owner greeted us at the end of the tour and had a chat which made it so personal. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this place. Blew us away. Amazing. Our tour guide Mandy was great. She was enthusiastic and entertaining. What a wonderful place. We went in the day but will go back to do the night one too. Great as when you pay the $45 entrance fee (well worth it) you get a 2 year pass to come back
