Nice alternatieve to the crowded playa blanca, but avoid buying tickets on a street.

We really felt like a chilling beach day without being harassed by hundreds of people trying to sell you something, so we decided to try Tierra Bomba, which only 15 min away from Cartagena. Overall we had a nice day, but it would be even better if knew the following: 1. Don't buy tickects for the boat from guys selling... More

We missed all the day tours to Playa Blanca and Rosario as we arrived at the marina in Cartagena at 9am. We wanted beach time so we were duped into buying a return boat trip to Tierrabomba island. The boat ride was rough, with the surf covering the whole boat at certain points. We were dropped at the beach bar... More

A great day trip. Only visited Mariana's Beach Club while on the island but the beach and water was really nice, warm and clean. The only negative was the motorcycles speeding down the beach every few minutes. It seemed to maybe be a taxi type service but it was only a minor annoyance and didn't spoil a great day in... More

On the plane ride to Cartagena, I sat next to a young couple who highly recommended Mariana's Beach Club for our family of five. I am so happy we took their advice because we had a wonderful day enjoying great service from Mariana and her staff. I knew it was going to be worthwhile when Mariana greeted us on arrival.... More

The island is beautiful and so is the beach, it is much more calm than the beaches in Cartagena such as Bocagrande and it doesn't have that many people selling random stuff to you. But be careful: as a tourist, you're basically a target for them. Pay attention to the price to go to the island: the "fair" price, meaning,... More

We were so glad to have picked this place over one of the many tours we were offered in Isla Rosario and Playa Blanca. Marianna's was so peaceful and relaxing and the whole day was made so easy from start to finish. It felt like we had the entire island and beach to ourselves. The waiting staff were the nicest... We found a private place on this island which made the experience special. The water was warm and wonderful to swim in! We were offered a tiki hut with a table and chairs for 10000 mil which is less than $5. This was a fun stay for the day! I took a small boat for 40000 mil which left at... More

It is a private beach club. We were picked up at 10:00 am and we were taken back at 4:00pm. we were welcomed with delicious patacones and natural juice, they have the best Blody Marys ever!. I recommend the fish on the grill. Mariana was amazing and we were very well taken care off. I higly recommend it. There is... More

The closest Island, about 15 mins by boat and cost 40,000 pesos return. The beach is average but I recommend trying the grilled fish there as it was amazing! You will get hassled a bit there but no too much to be unbearable! The sea was lovely and warm but not very clear on the day. There are water sports... More

If you are looking for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of El Laguito and/or Bocagrande-this is the place to be. Only a 10 minute boat ride from El Laguito and once you arrive you will be happy that you did. Relax on the beauiful, quiet beach while waiting for the locals to come around and show you... More
