As all the other recent reviews have said, the giant is sadly not very visible. If you have an interest in these things or are passing it's definitely worth a look. Sadly the white outline is faded and he's only really visible by the undulations...More

Cerne Abbas is lovely as is the whole valley. Peaceful English countryside at its finest. Great walk over and round the giant but if you want a good view of it, you’d need to walk on the opposite side of the valley to gain height....More

One can't help but find a smile on your face. It is easy to find, the parking area looks across to the giant on the other side of the valley and it is unusual. Yes he could do with a bit of paint, but if...More

Easy to find and easy to park. The village is very interesting and the tea shop was excellent. The giant itself was a bit of a disappointment as it is not very well defined. I guess the outline gets renewed now and again and it...More

What a great tourist attraction. The walk to the top wasn't too strenuous and worth the time and effort.

The Cerne Abbas Giant is a very famous local landmark and quite unique! Sad to say he wasn't looking as well as when we visited him last, having lost some of his sparkle. Time the National Trust got some lovely white chippings and restored him...More

Paths are poor and perilous now. No access to the Giant itself. Still amazing. Please don’t attempt to climb the hill if it’s been raining. Really muddy and unsafe. Just stick to the viewing area which is well signposted.

We revisited this ancient site in late September and were sad to see that he is a shadow if his former self. Far from crisp and pristine he has a tired overgrown faded look as if the figure has not been regularly maintained. He still...More
