On the French side, this beautiful beach with a sometimes strong wave pattern is so much fun. Let the waves roll you in or snorkel along the cliffs to the left. Some shade to be had under the trees so get there kind of early....More

Beautiful beach with fine white sand, clear blue waters with minimal waves. We went with some friends and each found a tree to relax under for protection from the sun. We were naked and saw about a 7-8 other couples naked as well. There is...More

We parked at Friars Beach parking lot and walked through the bushes to this lovely beach. It is a bit secluded and therefore not crowded. Remember to bring water/beer as nothing is for sale nearby. The only negative on our day was a local guy...More

We were on the island for two weeks and we explored the most of the beaches. This one was our very favorite. It is quiet beach with clear blue waters. There are also some shadows under bushes/trees where can you relax even with burnt skin,...More

Happy Bay is a 15 minute walk from Friars. The path is rocky in some places so I recommend sneakers or tougher sandals. Pretty beach, not the best I have seen, but definitely worth the short hike.. There are several shady spots under trees, but...More

Yes. It wasn't clear to us exactly what was being built or how extensive it was going to be - only that the pace seemed unhurried.
