The seaside promenade was a very poor way to spend a morning. It did provide a walk without much worry of dealing with cars, which is always nice. This to me seems that it would be a focal point for the city, a sense of...More

The promenade was directly across the street from our hotel. Walk early (7:00 am) , as it gets more hot and humid as the day goes on.

Mid morning, had beer and was brought free chips and seafood. Watching the birds was magical, pelicans, frigate birds and many more. Fishermen relaxing.

This boardwalk seemed to go on forever, the view was fantastic. Although this area of the city is very modern, there are glimpess of the historical areas as well. There are a number of statues and we could stop along the way to watch the...More

Very clean, organized, with ample parking, but the water view itself, wasn't so impressive. LOTS of people come here, but the water wasn't swim worthy, or a "day at the beach" type of place.

The promenade is not only cool but needed in this heavily trafficked town. It's a great place to walk or run against the backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico.
