This museum provides an excellent compact history of Campeche and has good exhibits. There is a free guided tour with added attractions that you should take even if only available in Spanish

There is a great small museum inside the Palacio Centro Cultural. It's exceptionally well done, with multimedia and explanations in flawless English. It's about the history of the city and socio-political issues related to it. The museum is free and it's well worth a visit....More

The museum is free and divided into sections on the history of Campeche, trade in the 17th & 18th centuries, colonization, and historic fortifications. The light show is shown against the backdrop of the building and can be viewed from the square every Fri, Sat,...More

Great atmosphere in the sqare opposite the palace. Wonderful display of the Mayan history projected to its walls with music.

I loved the mapping show "Celebrando Campeche", it brought tears to my eyes. I'm a sucker for traditions and history, and being a mexican I felt so moved by it. It's super well done and the building it is projected is kept in the best...More

I've been to many museums, and this particularly, is great. Great exhibits in English and spanish, the muséographie is very well done. The building itself is magnificent. And its free!!!! Try to book the guided tour, also free, to have access to the interactive rooms....More

I was there two months ago and the show at the main square by the Cathedral was happening every night at 8.00pm I don't know if they have other times and days in the seasons
