We found it to be quiet with few visitors, so you could, with a little patience get photos without people in them. Although a rather smaller site it has some great buildings, especially the pyramid of the five stories that is worth the climb to...More

This was the third Mayan archeological site we visited (after Ek Balam and the famous Chichen Itza) and we both thought it was the most magnificent. The site is not enormous but it is very nicely kept. You can the main building (with room openings...More

The Mayan ruins at Edzna are a must see! The site is quite large with lots of different ruins. One of the best reasons to go here is that it isn’t over-run with tourists like other Mayan ruins in the Yucatan peninsula such as Chichen...More

A nice woodland walk suddenly opens up to reveal some great ruins, and nobody else around! Well worth visiting, less than an hour's drive from Campeche.

I've been to plenty of the big sites in Mexico and while they all have their attractions Edzna is one of those you get a good feel about. The entrance fee of 60 Pesos gets you into a small museum on site as well. I...More

Jump into a Collectivo for this, 45 pesos each way. We went early afternoon one day. Car park looked busy on arrival. Only saw about 15 other people inside, fabulous. Make sure you check out the old sorceress, an unrestored temple down a grassy track....More

The bus leaves from the south Champoton Terminal. First run at 6am and then at 10 am (check for changes with your concierge or a travel agency). We took a personal tour in car, for $1,000.00 pesos (more or less $50.00 dlls.)
