We visited Ringstead Bay on a rainy windy day so didn't see it at it's best. It's a dog friendly pebble beach with sand at low tide and rock pools. There is a National Trust car park (free to members ) at the top of the hill otherwise there is a £5 charge to use the private access road to... More

We live in Upton near Ringstead so this is our lovely local beach, I can assure all those grumbling about the car park charge it's much more expensive in Weymouth and if you don't want to pay it drive on!! Ringstead beach is beautiful and unspoilt with stunning views across the bay towards Portland. Great for the whole family with... More

We parked in the national trust car park at the top (free to members) and walked down to the bay. Beautiful views & lovely steepish walk down all on a good path. Toilets are situated next to the cafe of the lower car park. Beach is made up of stones/shingle with beautiful clear water. Beach is dog friendly.

I love this beach it is so near to Weymouth but so far from the crowds. It's dramatic and varied with good swimming, just relaxing and fossilling. There is a £5 charge for parking but well worth it even if you only go for a few hours. It's gentle at the start with extensive rock pools at low tide and... More

We took a day trip to this beach, a lovely dog and family friendly beach with truly beautiful views. There is a lovely little café and gift shop near the car park for refreshments and nice clean toilets.

We were heading to Weymouth but saw the sign to Ringstead and followed that instead. Glad we did. Ended up in the cafe car park. There is a £5 parking charge but we decided to stay for lunch and have a short stroll down to the sea. So after veggie burgers and chips and a mug of tea we wandered... More

Park up in the National Trust car park, take in the wondrous view of Portland and Weymouth Bay, then set of along the Jurassic coast in the direction of West Lulworth and Durdle Door. Nothing better on a sunny day. Fantastic views and great (if sometimes challenging) walking. Enjoy.

Popped by recently and walked from the National Trust car park. It is a much nicer walk down than up... However, fabulous scenery and a real gem. True peace and quiet.

Hidden away down a series of windy lanes, choice of National Trust or private car park (which also has a café with hot and cold food, drinks and beach paraphernalia and toilets), lovely 20 min walk to beach itself. Much of it is pebbly but there are some sandy areas too, depending on the tide. No facilities on the beach... More
