We had a fantastic day today at the Rare Breeds Centre. Our children loved seeing all the animals especially the tiny piglets and the massive rabbit. The tractor ride was brilliant and we really liked that you didn't have to pay extra to have a ride. The tractor driver was brilliant and was such a laugh. I didn't catch his... More

Visited here last week with the wife and kiddies. The staff are really helpful and friendly. There are plenty of animals to view and learn about. They have a falconry show taking place most days and opportunities for little ones to pet some rabbits and guniapigs. Let's of adventure playground stuff for the kids to do (kids fort and giant... Even on a cold and a bit wet January day the Rare Breeds Centre is the perfect family day out. There's so much to do on the site and it's a fantastic opportunity for children to meet animals and learn about them and most important respect them. All the staff are really friendly, the animals are very well looked after... More

Visited the Rare Breeds Centre for the first time today with my partner and our 2 year old and despite the moody weather, she loved it. The children's barn is open all day where you can pet the animals. Our little girl loved the rabbits and guinea pigs that roam around. All the animals were friendly and looked happy and... More

A great time for our grandchildren. Tractor Trailer rides. Close contact with animals in the open air and in enclosed areas.

This must be the fifth time I've taken my boys to the rare breeds centre primarily to see Santa. With timed tickets for Santa you don't spend your whole day in a queue. Then the bonus of a whole show to go with it. It's always an extremely well done show and this year didn't disappoint. The barn that is... More

Even though it was a windy rainy November day, we had the best time! All the animals seemed really happy and well looked after and the giant rabbits were amazing! We enjoyed the play areas too with loads of choices of obstacle courses, mazes, swings, zip wire etc and my partners 6 year old loved the indoor play area, it... More

My friend got tickets for this for my Sons birthday. All of the other Christmas events we've been to have been pretty lack lustre and when she said she was too ill to come we almost didn't go. I'm SO glad we did because it was by far the best experience my little boy has had. We all queued to... More

Wow, we have just come back from a lovely afternoon here ending in a visit to the Big Man in Red. You book a time to see Santa and are lead in with a group and sit on a staggered set of steps with hay bales to sit on. Facing you is a sloping winter wonderland topped with trees and... More
