The weather was good on the day visited, no rain and not got. The outdoor activity was good. There were few animals and birds. It was more enjoyable to kids. The maintenance of the park is really good. The cycle rides and boating was very good. The canteen serves decent food, no complaints. Vegetarian options available.

Feb 2019 • Couples
If you are planning for a short weekend trip to enjoy some nature with your loved ones or as couples, this is one of the best place to go to spend your time. Our visit was on the month of February. Worth the short visit! Note that there are no ATMs and card facilities around, even in town, so it's best to bring extra cash on hand in Serian before going.
Place = Clean and well maintained with lots of animals to see. Parking was okay but probably needs some upgrades. But that's another story. They are still expanding the place with more facilities.
Animals = Many wild animals in there. Explore yourself :) . You can also feed goats, horses and rabbits.
Restaurant = They have Sugarbun as well. Price is reasonable.
Facilities for rent = Bikes, electric bikes, kayak, and other related water equipment.

Our Visit Oct 14th 2018. Very nice new place to enjoy the flora and fauna. You can feed the animal like rabbit, cows, goats, fishes and otter. Cycling and boating don't forget. Fountain playground still under contraction during our visit. Culture show (Dance from Bidayuh tribe) only on Sunday and Public Holiday. So please check the schedule at the KLB Garden FB or Website.

We were there for about 2 hours. Please check feeding time before you visit, we made it for otter feeding and it was fun. Bidayuh performance available on Sundays. Good varieties of animals, and well maintained. Has riding activities for hire, mini playground areas for kids too. Kids had fun feeding goats, sheeps, rabbits, deer etc. Saw an area for boating but wasn’t open when we were there, perhaps later on.

A beautiful and educational place to visit with friends and family in Borneo... we enjoyed playing with the otters and feeding other animals such as rabbits and goats. We look forward to the overnight or camping option and hope to visit again next holiday...

KLB Garden is a 13-acre agro park and mini zoo, located at Tebedu. It's about a 100km drive from Kuching City Centre. So give it about 1.5 - 2 hours of driving time.
The garden is relatively new, having opened only in June 2018. As soon as you enter, there's a cafeteria selling a decent range of drinks. Food items that were available included stirfried noodles and chicken rice, nasi pattaya among others. Ice-cream was also on sale. A souvenir shop is located here too.
The landscape still looked a little bare, because it's understandable that the plants need time to grow. There are man-made lakes, a waterfall, aviaries and animal enclosures, a wishing well, a bicycle rental area, a water fountain and a zodiac playground. A camping site is available - not sure whether the tents ready to stay in or not.
As I walked around, I checked out the collection of birds like owls, canaries, parrots, parakeets, peacocks and others ... and there's a horse, some deers, goats, sheep, bulls. I remembered seeing a pair of otters, some tortoises and terrapins, porcupines, pangolins, civet cats, rabbits ...
There were orchids, pitcher plants and a special room which had rows and rows of strawberry plants .... no fruits yet, though.
The garden opens at 9.30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m on weekdays, except on Thursdays. On weekends, public holidays and school holidays, it opens from 8.30 - 5.00 p.m. Ticket prices are RM16 for adults and RM8 for children. Senior citizens go in for free.
