A beautiful old well kept village church free to wander inside and take a peaceful look around, villagers love to get married in this their parish church. The owner of the Castle in the square, his daughter married here, she and family just had to walk across the square to the church.

The Parish Church is old and has lots of character. It is a very pretty place to walk around and see. Adds to the character of the town- where there are so many churches. Worth going around.

We saw the church from the square and it caught the eye. The church was open but unattended so we wandered around the inside. It is quite big and has lots of interesting memorials and stunning sculptures. The grounds are very pleasant with a now deceased 1300 year old Ancient Saxon Yew yew tree surrounded by railings to prevent further... More

I went with a friend to take photographs of the churches and surrounding areas (Godmersham) - there's another lovely church and countryside there as well. The day was ok, because we were inside, little chilly when we came out. But went for something to eat and drink, all warmed up and ready to go again. Fair amount of walking around.... More

We've Been visiting Chilham for many years and yet this time was the first that we've managed to visit the this lovely church. Being an ex campanologist I would have loved to have looked up the tower (you can tell a lot from the tower) but I was thwarted last year when we came. and this year it was -understandably-... More

Wonderful church with some really beautiful examples of stonework including the Lady Digges Memorial and the Hardy Family children's memorial (the only known example of a church monument depicting children toys in England) and some wonderful family stories and historical references.
