We found this church by accident on our way to the Dunlewey Centre - the Sat Nav directed us to Dunlewey instead of the Dunlewey Centre, but the outcome was that we found this church. My wife and I have an interest in churches and...More

If you are passing the poisoned glen then it’s worth taking a small detour and seeing the church! Offering different views of the loch and of mont errigal at the same time. It has a small info stand and the church offers some shelter from...More

It may take a bit of time to find the road down to the church but well worth the effort. Once at the church there is some room to park and a latched gate to get into the church. The grounds are well kept (less...More

It took me a couple of tries before I found the small road (track really) that leads down to the church. It is truly a haunting place.

Dunlewey is found at the bottom of the "poison Glen" off the N56 on the way down from Glenveagh National park and worth a wee detour. Built from Granite and limestone the colours are a beautiful mix. The roof was taken off for safety reasons...More
