It’s a repeat visit for me but this time with spouse. Beautiful temple of 12th century known for its interior architectural beauty. Even now the deity, Chennakeshava is worshipped.

The Temple is a historical milestone of Hoysala dynasty. God Vishnu is the main deity of the Temple and he is called Channkeshava here. Temple is famous for its architecture and sculptures (Shilabalika).

main entrance has steps inside there is huge space there is a help desk at entrance, I guess they would be able to help

The temple is open on all days from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM. I went there around 4:30 PM

From Hassan visit Belur and Halebidu temples.On the way if time permits you can visit Gomateshwara . From Belur you can proceed to Chickamagalore.
