Steep Hike. Nice View. Close to Boti Falls
Sep 2019
Decent hike from the starting point to get here. At first the hike is pretty flat but it gets steeper as you go. The last section is literally climbing up rocks to get to it, but once you do, it's a pretty view of the surrounding area. There was a woman at the top selling cold beverages which was nice. It's on the same property as Boti Falls, so if you're going to Boti Falls, start with this nice hike prior to going to the falls.

Disappointing...
Oct 2019
A great part of the rock was covered with laundry drying out, and the seller had all her goods all around. Could not take a proper picture. Long way to come with not a single natural photo. Too much rubbish on the way there as well. It needs attention and care.

Umbrella Rock

I must admit climbing to the highest peak was a big problem. The rocks and everything was a challenge but I tried my best lol. It was fun and loving and everything seemed natural. In fact I’d love to visit there again.

Umbrella Rock

The umbrella rock was found by a hunter and up to date has been a site to behold. The rock is held by little rocks and provides good shade whilst viewing the mountain.

Great discovery in a spectacular region
May 2018 • Friends
Close to Boti Falls you can visit the beautiful Umbrella rock, a spectacular rock formation with a great view over the valley in the Eastern Region.

It's not easy to find so you need to ask someone at the Falls to drive with you to the rock.

unusual isolated rock
Apr 2018 • Friends
Interesting rock perched precariously on a base, don't know how it got there! Interesting nearby huts, and a three-headed palm tree and grave yard. Shame that the rock was surrounded by litter.

Quick trip
Jan 2018 • Friends
We visited Umbrella rock as part of a day trip to Boti falls. It’s 10mins drive from the falls. We parked along a road next to a local cemetery and walked along a cliff edge to get to umbrella rock. It has amazing views and great photo opportunity.

We rocked the rock!
Jan 2018 • Friends
Before we went to the umbrella rock we enjoyed the Boti Falls which are near by. We payed I think 20 Cedi each. Both the rock and the waterfall included. The Boti Falls are realy beautiful. I'm not quite sure if you really can swim, it doesn't seem like that. Hiking to the umbrella rock takes about 40 min if you are fit. But there is also another easier way to get there by car. Be well prepared to organise a taxi or Trotro to go back to Koforidua after you finished your trip. We came on a saturday and the road wasn't as busy as we thought it would be. After 2 hours a Trotro passed by and we joined it. All in all a cool experience. I would recommend it!
