Had a look online for places close to home and stumpled across this little gem. With its own website on opening times and entry fee and location. Situated near Wyevale garden centre, formerly Cadbury's. This little gem is found situated in a conservatory showroom. Just follow the path to the butterfly world, just past the cafe. The weather was ok... More

We had a very pleasant hour or so here, with our granddaughter in tow. The owner was attentive and helpful with information about the butterflies. There aren't that many but we enjoyed looking for them, and the terrapins and stick insects were a bonus. There are some useful information sheets, a friendly welcome, some things for children to do, and... More

A bit early in the year but still a good variety of butterflies to marvel at. Worth the entrance fee just for the look on the faces of some of the children as large butterflies floated by or even landed on them. I cannot understand how any parent can whisk a child through here in 15 minutes (as some of... More

The website boasts of being able to spend an entire day here but you'd struggle to make it to an hour. It's fairly small, there was the odd laminated information sheet but nothing on the types of butterflies fluttering around which were also in short supply when we went. Turtles in the pond made an interesting diversion though as did... More

Only a short visit needed but if you are visiting the big Wyevale Garden Centre its worth a stop over next door. We played the Adventure Golf too which was fun and made a day of it. It was a bit early on in the year for the butterflies and so only a small amount. We enjoyed it and the... More

Once located, enjoyed a good half hour or so here. Small but reasonably priced, clean and very informative and dedicated proprietor. Situated next to Cadbury garden centre where we went on to spend the remainder of a worthwhile afternoon out.

Sited in a set of outlets next door to a very large garden centre between Yatton and Congresbury, this is a lovely place for young and old. Well informed staff guide you in and out. You can spend as long as you like spotting all sorts of beautiful butterflies at very close quarters. A really unique experience. My 1 year... More

The first thing to note was the enthusiasm of the owner for the whole setup before we went in, lots of advice. Once into the butterfly forest the high humidity was striking but then you realise you are surrounded by both small and really large butterflies that take absolutely no notice of you. I would reckon an hour or so... More

After my daughter spontaneously announced she wanted to visit a butterfly house one Sunday morning we googled the nearest to us and came across North Somerset butterfly house and what a pleasant surprise. The butterfly house is hidden at the back of a conservatory show yard but well sign posted from the road. The place is relatively small but the... More
