You have to admire the many things that have been created here. This man has imagination for all things that move. A special place to visit. It will make you laugh and complements nicely something man-made amongst the rest of the catlins all -so- natural. Would you come and bring my place to life? The piano takes the cake. Thank... More

A curiosity shop (aka curio shop) in an old bus. Filled with unique handmade gadgets. Also a coffee/drink/food stop. In the vein of kitschy beach galleries around the world with exotica and fascinating trinkets. Loved it!

What a hoot. Bought and iced coffee from the quaint Caravan. Sat it the shade....yes lots of heat..31 today and then took a stroll through the bus. All sorts of crazy displays and interactive gadgets. Allow plenty of time which we were short of. Fascinating.

If you are doing the scenic drive down the coast, you expect sandy beaches, sea-lions and spectacular nature. There is also spectacular art. This gallery is a must see for all ages. It is mechanical and fun, but also just beautiful. This plus the spectacular scenery makes for a wonderful and varied day.

Every adult should remember how to play. The Lost Gypsy Gallery gives that opportunity to everyone who takes the time to stop here. Guaranteed the best value experience in the South Island of New Zealand. Tony, the creator is a true genius. Make sure you pay $5 to see the theatre, which is a must see and do. Thanks for... More

We loved this little place when travelling through the Catlins. We had a delicious coffee and had a fantastic time in the bus and in the garden (which we paid the extra, very reasonable $5 each to enter). We had such fun pressing all the buttons and pulling cords etc. Fab!

Thank Liz C
