Spending a lot of cash on golf in the Cape stops now. The exhorbitant rates asked by many of the "top" golf courses are just not worth it after you have visted Clovelly Golf Club. A true gem, it is extremley well maintained and a true challenge of golfing ability in all departments of the game. The halfway house is... More

We don't play golf but we so much enjoy the views, the food and the excellent waiter service a and put up with, and I suppose enjoy listening to the , stories' of the golfers at nearby tables. The drawback is the smoking by the 'resident golfers -so many of them , on the balcony //

This was a perfect way to start any week! Lush green fairways, amazingly smooth greens, smiling Pro Shop staff, efficient service, nice halfway house and clubhouse, good quality Sun Mountain trolleys, beautiful fauna, flowers and birds( peacocks, ducks etc) and played early so no waiting! Well worth the Green Fees. Fabulous experience all round. Through the drought, Clovelly is able... More

Voted most popular in South Africa and I could see why as it was certainly the busiest we have played since being here. Course was lovely but the greens had been sanded and it seemed on the front 9 every one we came to was also being watered, we had to wait on every green for the sprinklers to be... More

The day before we played Clovelly we visited Royal Cape which was very disappointing. We were a little anxious when we drove the 30 minutes from Waterfront to Clovelly. The club is not easy to find. Without GPS I do not think we would have found it. Very friendly, relaxed. Members club. Very different from Arabella, Fancourt, Pezula and te... More

My wife and I were in the Fish Hoek area around lunch time and didn't fancy the hot, noisy, crowded restaurants on the beach - where we had come from - or in the village - which we had passed through - so despite our casual wear we took a flier at Clovelly Country Club. Having played golf there before,... More

They have a lot of water in this time of the year. Fairways are in very good condition with a lot of dark green grass. You can play relaxing because the ball is not on the ground. Good restaurant and half way house.

Our first golf in South Africa and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff and nice club house. The course was very interesting with plenty of water hazards but beautifully laid out.

I am not a golfer , but Clovelly Country Club has a great restaurant , and some good meals . The surroundings are beautiful , and on a sunny day , it is wonderful to sit on the patio and enjoy the stunning view . The waitrons are helpful and obliging. There is also a Sunday lunch buffet - I... More
