No awe-factor. The lake is more of a small bond. And since the road to it was closed, we got to view it only from afar. Okay, the green color was beautiful against the black sand and the story of the bacteria causing the color interesting, but really?

We found it more by accident than by design, although we did go out in search of it! We passed it once and without giving it a second glance (because it didn't really deserve it) drove past to El Golfo. On driving back we stopped and had a look, having decided that it must be the place....The stops further down... More

We stopped of at El Lago Verde, unfortunitly only for 10 minutes. The small walk to the cliff view point was well worth it. The rock formations along with the Emerald lake set against the blue sea was a photo oppertunity not to be missed. Unfortunitly there is no information at hand you need to read about it from the... Visited twice as it's a stunning location . Short walk to see the very green lagoon so easily accessible. Also worth walking out onto the headland as views to lagoon and back into stunning ElGolfo were amazing. Perfect for panoramas ! Huge waves crashing in contrast with blue blue skies and sea. Definitely a place to remember .

We have now driven most of the roads on this island and found this coastal road to be nice with several good photo opportunities including the green lake, the salt pans, and the small village of El Golfo.

Looked forward to the green lagoon but probably due to the state of tide none was visible. However a stroll round the nearby village of El Golfo was interesting with plenty of strange architecture and pleasant bars and tapas restaurants. It had a real seaside feel to it. Probaby because it was at the seaside?! Nice views of the Atlantic... More
