Situated just outside El Golfo on the south west side of the island this lagoon is a land locked mass of water by the sea and an interesting outcrop of rock. There is a large carpark nearby which can get busy particularly if coach loads...More

El Golfo is just stunning. I highly recomment not just walking up to a green lake, but also going down to the beach and maybe even having a picnic there. Waves are so calming and you don't get much wind there. Perfect spot for some...More

Nice place for lunch [not so good in the dark]. Scenery breathtaking if it is a nice day, which it usually is here. Recommend a visit after a visit to the Volcano, which is not far by car. Mostly fish menu and seafood muscles, and lots...More

Nice little spot to stop take in views, breath some windy sea sir! Lots of views to absorb. Can get windy. There is a shop nearby for refreshments.

When we visited it didn't seem as green as we had seen in pictures so a bit of a let down fortunately nearby El Golfo was a small village with lots of restaurants but the views and the waves made it worth a visit.

The viewing area accessed from a car park in El Golfo is rough and uneven but gives a high viewpoint of the lake and the geology of the area. It’s a pity that they have closed off the road and parking area on the other...More

We visited El Golfo and took the short walk uphill to view the black sand and the green lake. Fortunately it was a lovely day so we saw the contrasting colours at their best. It's amazing to think how they were formed. A short walk...More

As other reviewers have said the lake isn’t as bright green is promised but still it’s quite dramatic with the rocky background & black sand & beautiful rough sea.

What a let down this was,we expected vibrant green colours, against a black volcanic background, the water colour looked simply dirty, maybe we visited at the wrong time of the year. El Golfo itself has wonderful scenery and views well worth a visit. The lagoon was an utter...More
