It’s free! You can make a donation but no pressure. It’s not huge but well worth the visit! Good use of tablets etc to give info about exhibits. Loved the boat shed too. Cafe looked nice and the food looked good too!

The museum is free but there is a little donation box by the information desk! A bunch of awesome naval history in and around the area of Auckland. It’s not that big so you won’t need a whole day but it definitely is a stop...More

I did the 30 minute waterfront walk from Devonport ferry terminal to find this excellent free museum showing the history of the NZ Navy. Not a place I would normally seek out but very interesting with high quality exhibits. Nice cafe attached. Lovely views across...More

Lovely cafe attached to it worth the stroll along the waterfront to get there- north head just behind . Great Museum for all ages- try on the Navy Uniforms

A free museum in devonport! Though it is free, the information here is very good too. Only downside it that the museum is somewhat far away from the port.

Beautifully presented interesting information about the history of the NZ Navy. A lovely walk from the ferry, with nice views of downtown.

They are about a 15-20 min flat easy pleasant walk from the ferry but it might take longer as there are some bits n pieces you might want to stop at!
