A good, small group, tour of Devonport which is a one hour tour, but with the added attraction of being dropped off and collected an hour later on the next tour. Very informative and interesting.

We took the ferry to Devonport and added in this tour. Is was an excellent choice. Picks you up at the ferry terminal and can drop you back there or in the main street - not far from the terminal. Graham the tour guide has a great style and voice that easily shares a lot of history of the area.

Great overview and anecdotes about Devonport and its history from Steve the driver. Very enjoyable tour and great lunch recommendation too.

Devonport is a former tidal island, now a peninsula. Its a dormant volcano - 360 degree views of the harbour and Auckland from the top. The architecture on the 'island' and the view is stunning! There is a very cute historic township, lots of cafes. Our guide, Gary I think his name was, was a local and enthralled us all... More

Never used to like tours, but I'm a believer now. Another great tour by someone who has been here their entire life. A great way to see the islands without bus jumping. Well worth the price. Would do t again!

This bus tour round Devonport was really informative and showed us parts we might never have found ourselves. Our guide told us the history of the area and we visited the old volcano sites where we had great views. After the tour we stayed in Devonport for lunch and walked round some interesting shops before sitting at the harbour watching... More

Just decided whilst down at the wharf to take a boat over to Devonport and the explorer bus at the other side. The boat only takes about 10 - 15 mins but you get some great photos of Auckland city from the boat. Once over at Devonport we met our tour guide Steve, who was fantastic, and as there was... More

Had a few hours to spare & just jumped on the ferry for the tour as it was ready to leave. Didn't have any expectations or idea of the tour but enjoyed it thoroughly. The ferry ride was just long enough .our driver Rob was waiting & off we went on an interesting tour with lots of naval & local... More

Relaxing hour spent looking at houses with two stops at the two highest points in Devenport. Not much else to look at although the houses were interesting to see the different styles of houses. If you've got an hour to kill and you don't want to walk this is the tour for you

We travelled from Auckland on the ferry to Devonport and were met by Steve in the bus who took us on a tour around Devonport. Steve was very informative and engaging, it was well worth the bus trip. If you just went on the ferry and visited the Main Street you would have no idea about the history of the... More
