I've watched this temple grow from a solitary temple building in the 1980s to the massive temple complex it is today. Gives visitors a view of the Mahayana style of Buddhism popular in China, quite different from the Theravada Buddhism found in much of Southeast...More

The place has a wonderful garden, where you can sit and admire the building. Entering the yard of the temple, you can see the statues and interesting wall plates, about General Guan, a buddhist hero. Inside the temple, we got explanations about the coming holiday.

Decided to come after our visit to Steveston. We came ten minutes after the closing time but the guard was kind enough to let us in for a couple pictures. The temple is a delicate edifice of classical Chinese architectural style. An oddity in Canada,...More

The temple is a beautiful place to go to, as long as you stay away from the restaurant. We read so many positive reviews on the restaurant's vegeterian menu and on the fact you can have a nice meal on donation, so we decided to...More

Quaint temple with a small chinese garden. Nice place for vegetarian food too. The parking can be a challenge on festival days as they have reduced some stalls. Otherwise it the nicest buddhist temple in Richmond

This was one of the first temples I went to in Canada. It was very nice with the ponds and a simple processional entry. It looks small but there's another back courtyard. The sitting area by the gardens is picturesque. A nice afternoon to go...More

Although not a Buddhist this is a very interesting place to visit even if you only look at the architecture, gardens and statues which I did. It is a very tranquil place and you are requested to respect those who are worshipping by not taking...More
