This is a peaceful place for walks near the beach at low tide or on the water treatment pipe road. It is also a great place for bird watching as many colorful species inhabit the area. Parking is good, but bring your own food and drinks, as these services are not offered.

This beach is near the airport so excellent for plane watching. I'd suggest going to the right along the beach and not along the causeway directly out into the ocean. You can walk along the beach for quite aways (maybe 3 km) before you have to turn back. You can return along the 'foot path' inland if the sandy beach... More

While I was taking a long walk on the pier somebody broke into my car via driver's window and fished out my laptop. I didn't even notice it at first because there were no traces left and car looked ok.

I had been hoping to get to this place for years. I finally got the chance today. I heard there were over 200 species of birds; however I only saw gulls, herons, cormorants and killdeer. I also wanted to try to find the many geocaches along the lower trail. I did get two. Most were very tricky. I think it... More

We went early evening and walked 1/2 way down the sewage outfall pipe. A huge walking path on top about 20 feet wide. What a beautiful area with so much too see. Great view back to the airport and you can see the planes lining up in the sky to land. Wonderful vantage point for a sunset. A nice cool... More

8km round walk down the sewer pipe, took about 1 hour 45 minutes. Lots to see, especially as the tide ebbs as then mudflats are exposed and eagles stand around on them. Great place to plane spot as many planes fly directly overhead. There is no shade along the pipeline so be prepared on a sunny day. There's also no... More
