It was a surprise to see the dam and the surrounding park. It's a beautiful space for hiking, picnicking and hanging out. There's a hatchery and washrooms available.

We stumbled upon this great place accidentally! We were coming down from Grouse Mountain and pulled in just to see what was here - we were not disappointed that's for sure!!! Stunning views! The Dam was amazing to see - just follow it's sound down...More

We always go hiking here. The views are great and the game is quite easy. I would recommend hiking boots and would suggest that you are moderately fit. This would not be good if you are unsteady and can't climb stairs

The dam, drinking water supply of Vancouver, itself is interesting. On rainy days you have the water being released and the dam is more impressive. What is even nicer is the path to walk around just by the damn in the nature which remains the...More

Just a 20 minute trip for downtown. Drive past the Capilano bridge, up the mountain for another 4 minutes. There is a park with a great view of the lake. Easy hike along the river. Stop and view the salmon hatchery. Many great views.

This is one of the most picturesque places in North Vancouver. The mountains , lake and the reflection of sky in the water makes it a must see during your stay in Vancouver.

There is quite a few hills so the hiking can be tough, but the trails, mountains and lake are beautiful. This was a chilly March morning but it quickly warmed up towards noon.

The best part about this location is not so much the dam itself, but what is around the dam. The dam itself is cool and it is cool seeing the views from the top and bottom of it. Around the dam there are lots of...More

If anyone has seen a dam before, it's just that! The canyon is beautiful, it's high, and the park that looks to the mountains is a nice place to be still for a while.

There is no construction on the dam, nor the park beside it. . . There might be some road work on the road that goes up to it, but it will allow traffic thru because it goes to major tourist attractions . . . well worth any... More

I believe there are some bus stops but I too had a rental car, it's literally 4 minutes from the bridge, but what a sight. I think a taxi can take you there, it's truly on the same road 4-5 minutes
