We arrived with the idea of just checking it out, not really planing on doing anything. We discovered that it had a fantastic sliding hill, (free of charge) for the kids. They had a blast for about 2 hours and me and the wife hit...More

What a gem for cross country skiing. Many groomed tracks and extensive trails for both classic and skating style cross country skiing. The centre itself has a great restaurant with two large sitting areas to warm up. The day pass is 15$ a person.

There really wasn't much going on when we visited. A few people taking cross country ski lessons but that is all. It was close to lunch time so we sropped in the lodge for a bite to eat. Very liminted menu and overly expensive. $8.50...More

Free at night and beautiful. Lights on some trails and well groomed. Great location to go with a family. Can't wait to go in the dimmer for frisbee golf.

We enjoyed a fantastic day at the Nordic centre. The staff were very helpful, the facility is spacious and the trails are well maintained. The trails are well marked, and have tremendous variety. They have rentals and lessons available.

Great place to ski. Day or night. Even with a little snow they had enough undulating trails to ski loops. Better with lots of snow as with anywhere.

It's a very pretty drive up to the Nordic Centre in the winter months because the snow covered trees and mountains are so picturesque. There are cross country ski trails and sledding hills. Even if you are not into winter sports, go for a walk...More

We visited Canmore and found out the World Para Nordic Skiing World Cup was happening the week we were there. Lucky for us! We went to the Nordic Center and enjoyed the events.

You don't have to be a skier to visit here and we were interested to watch people training for the Biathlon in September with no snow. Cross country skiing on roller blades and practicing shooting in the range. The facilities looked excellent.

It's pretty safe to have snow in the Rockies in March. In addition, they make artificial snow for the trails for cross country skiing if it should ever not snow. I have lived in Canmore for 20 years. And so far, there has... More

The trails marked Green are kid friendly. Some of the Green paths are paved and mostly flat. You will find maps inside the visitor centre.
