I am not much of a hiker being out of shape but I did manage to make it up to the lakes. The color of the lake is amazing. Watched the rock climbers for awhile (brace souls), a nice family style hike, dogs, kids, all ages. We were up relatively early, a lot more traffic on the way down. I'd... More

We took this hike on May 18. There weren't many people there when we did, but understand that it can get crowded in the summer. The hike along the upper trail is easier, but the lower trail offers better views and more of a challenge. Beautiful area all around.

Breath-taking views of Canmore with turquoise lakes as the reward at the top. Very busy on May long weekend with my three kids (9, 12,14). 'Difficult' trail was closed due to falling ice so had to use the 'easy' trail. Lows-20s for temperature made water bottles and a few stops a must. 2hours all in with many pictures and snacks... If you are looking for a nice short hike with two beautiful lakes and a waterfall you've found it. It's uphill all the way going there but not overly strenuous. Two beautiful lakes when you get to top. Lots of camera moments and amazing scenic viewpoint over Canmore. Took two hours but we lingered at the lakes for long time

We did the hike today May 20, the hard road was closed so we had to do the easy one. Very busy, gradual climb up, stones under foot but nothing crazy. Beautiful water holes at the top, bring water as it was warm.

We enjoyed this short hike to a gorgeous lake; we were entertained by two American Dippers diving and feeding of the bottom of this very clear lake.

This is not to be missed if traveling to Canmore. Worth the hike upto the lakes. We hiked with 2 boys 9 & 11 years old, they had lots of fun up at the lakes.

We chose this hike on Mother's Day because we wanted something that wasn't too cold or difficult and was close to town. It checked off all those boxes. Great family hike. I saw people of all ages and abilities on the way up. But still a bit of a challenge as it was an incline the whole way up. Took... More

Bit of a hike to get there, but these crystal clear lakes are incredible. We spent four days in Banff/Canmore and this was our family's highlight of the trip. A sunny day is best.

The trail is challenging so you have to be outfitted and take it slow. The views of the water fall are gorgeous and the color of the lakes is exquisite. We enjoyed sitting and watching the rock climbers. Love the benches along the trail with their dedications. What an incredible way to spend time! A must!
