Do not underestimate that hiking trail that brings you there . It is steep at moment and you need to pay attention to where you step . Even more challenging on your way down since your exhaustion might make your footing less controlled . You could roll an ankle easily so : No rush . People were courteous but I... More

Ha Ling is a great day hike ending up with great views of Canmore and much of the Bow Valley. Its a lot of elevation gain in a short time. Be sure to take lots of water. You won't get lost but you'll work for the views. Its a popular trail in the Summer and likely to be pretty crowded... More

Make sure you go on a sunny day to fully appreciate the gorgeous views of Canmore from the summit. Difficulty is between beginner to intermediate.

I've hiked this peak several times with my kids. The trail is well marked and well maintained, but you will still get a great cardio work out on your way to the top. The stunning views of Canmore and the sheer drop of Ha Ling Peak are well worth the hike. Take plenty of water.

If you want a view of Canmore and Bow Valley area from a summit, but don't want to spend a lot of time, this is the climb for you! From parking lot to the top, it is no more than 3km. That also means it is steep pretty much the whole way without much of a break, but anyone who... More

A good little climb, well marked paths and well maintained. Great views from the top but you share with a lot of people. Best time to go is early in the morning before its gets crazy busy.

This is not a tough scramble in the summer and if you start early you can avoid haveing to share the trail with others. Views are great and there is wildlife to see mainly mountain sheep. The trail in the winter is a different story. Dress warm and know this is a challenging claim wear the right foot ware and... More

Park near the reservoir above Canmore on the Smith Dorrian Trail. The trek up is a zig zag up the mountain, first through the trees, it's quite steep but a steady pace will get you up there. Stop first at the ridge line and look down at Canmore before heading up the final stretch to the summit, take in Miners... More

The walk was easy to navigate, the climb steady, and the view spectacular. There was a slight breeze at the top, and the day was sunny. I would caution being on the top during foul weather.
