Ha Ling, which overlooks Canmore, can be climbed in a couple of hours by a reasonably fit person. There is a well-trodden path through the forest and then a final section across open rock. The view from the top is great, perfect place to rest...More

It's a long, steady uphill climb to a stunning view above the tree line. At the top, it gets steeper and you're looking over a knife-edge ridge.

Worth the effort! A difficult climb up but the view at the top was wonderful. The last climb to the peak was extra fun and allowed for a picnic lunch amongst the other vistors

I am a moderate hiker and this was challenging hike initially but then I decided to slow down my pace and then itwas a a good one. Good hiking shoes and climbing poles are must haves, in my opinion. Poles are really helpful in coming...More

not easy one in spring conditions with melted snow can be dangerous, mainly the final part after the tree line. Fantastic view to all the Canmore area.

This is a good hike if you are looking to cram a lot of stuff in a day. It’s relatively short, but with great views that make it worth doing. Not a big deal of you skip it though. I wouldn’t describe it as a...More

The hike up is about 1-2 hours going up. The trail is well marked but since we hike late (we started at 7pm), I veered of the trail and did a short cut to the summit. I am not recommending that- the rocks/stones are loose...More

The hike was great, relatively short (1.5-2hrs to get up, 1 to get down) and although a good workout, not too tough. I foolishly took public transit to get there, which was triple the price of renting a car :)
