Love it up here! We just went for a day drive, and stopped for lunch at the upper lake. A person could just sit there for hours, enjoying the view.

Well worth the short drive up. The lake has beautiful views right from the picnic spots close to the parking lots or from the family friendly beach walks on either side of the dam. There are longer trails around the lake, we didn't do them...More

The whole loop around the lake is around 15 km but is fairly flat and even the ups and downs aren't too dramatic. The lake itself is gorgeous and the surrounding mountains were reflected in the clear and still water. Dogs are welcome on leash...More

This lake was created to generate power, and it's a lovely spot even on an overcast day. It wasn't our favorite lake we saw in our 10-day stay, but worth the drive to get there from Canmore.

All of Kananaskis is fantastic and worth the sidetrip. The limestone peaks of Cananaskis country are amazing accents to a beautiful valley.

We stopped here on our drive and enjoyed the beautiful view. It was VERY windy the day we stopped. On a calm day, you can get a great picture with the reflection of the mountains in the background.

Incredible mountain and lake views. We were at Interlake where we walked across the dam and saw both the lower and upper lake. Lots of hiking opportunities around the area!

This drive hands down was our favorite of the trip. Take the back way up passed Spray Lakes you will see lots of wildlife. Upper Kananaskis lake was breathtaking. The lower lake wasn't as pretty as the top.
