An awesome place to spend a winter evening skating the trails and warming up by the fire. It's very busy at the start of the evening but by 7:30 pm the youngsters are heading home to a more relaxing adult time......

We camp here at least three times a year. We usually come twice in the summer and once in the fall. Sites in east river are pretty private. Lots of hiking trails and your only an hour away from Algonquin.

We would not have enjoyed our trip for the skating but the waterfall made up for the cost of entry. The tubing area was also closed for unknown reason without warning so we never got to try that. If you like the hike, we found the ice formations at the waterfall absolutely fantastic.

I went out for a 2 hour ski trek with my son. Trails were well groomed and scenery was attractive. Only drawback was the biting cold close to the lake. Also, the trails were not adequately marked and we ended up off the green (easy) trails to the blue (moderate).

All should try the skating trail at Arrowhead at least once in their life. Awesome experience. Get a lightweight backpack with you so you can change your shoes/skating on the trail, which is easier than changing at the starting point, esp. if you are a novice skater.

did a day hike to stubbs falls. It was very icy and had to do some hills on my butt....I'm old lol... but the falls were definitely worth the hike. Lots of photos.

We went mid week at 1 pm on a beautiful sunny day when it was just below freezing. Perfect temperature for an outdoor skate with my wife and two young boys. The trail is magnificent - it's a 1.3 km loop that definitely gives the legs a good burn if you decide to try skating hard the whole way around.... More

Beautiful scenic views as you skate along the outdoor trail. Parking is a bit of challenge. Fire pit and picnic tables to warm up and a enjoy a snack.
