Fun to see the bears

Had a wonderful morning visit at the Polar Bear Habitat! Highly recommend visiting if your in Cochrane. We were able to see all 3 bears out and about. If you make it there, check out the snowmobile museum.

Totally unexpected! You are able to swim with polar bears. But not without a bullet proof window between you. Had eyecontact with one of them whicb was absolutely magical! Love that the bears have a lake for them now. Something I'll never forget.

Amazing experience to have face to face with polar bears, there are beautiful facilities, where polar bear's environment is researched by a dedicated staff, it is open to public.

What a great experience. Where else in the World can you get this close to Polar Bears? It's a beautiful place to visit. Can't wait to go again.

I struggle with zoo's, but the Habitat was thrilling. The bears have relatively large outside enclosures and a large pond to swim in. The interactive education centre was impressive and the staff very informative. The heritage village was closed for the season, but looked like a great place for a family day outing.

Admittedly I went in kind of an off season, but saw the three bears. They were pretty active, wrestling and wandering about. Took lots of good pictures. Didn't get a chance to visit the historical village - it was a bit too cold for that. Keepers were in site to answer questions and that made the trip much more interesting.... More

We visited the Polar Bear Habitat a couple of weekends ago for our anniversary. We were not quite sure what to expect from a small service town that is basically at the end of the road in Northern Ontario. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the habitat is, and it doesn't feel like a zoo since their main... More

I was really excited to see this was not like zoo, but truly attempting to make a habitat for them. These are Polar Bears that would not survive in the wild, and they create games for them for stimulation and are very knowledgeable about Polar Bears and put their well being as number 1 priority. Everyone there was so friendly,... More

We visited the Polar Bear habitat for a few hours. It is best to find out when the feeding time is before paying as this is probably the best time to go if you want a good view of the bears. We also walked around the historic replica buildings Some interesting things to see. The bears seem to be very... More
