I would highly recommend taking a trip to Cape forchu lighthouse when visiting Yarmouth. It's a gorgeous drive to the light house and when you arrive you're greeted with a gorgeous view! Can't be beat. Parking is available free of cost. When we visited it was very quiet and peaceful. You can follow the trail or even just stay around... More

The road in winds about a bit, but the views are great. The day we were there, the seas were active, making the scene better yet. Do get out and look around when you get there.

We live in the yarmouth area and never tire of going to Cape Fourchu lighthouse and enjoying the magnificent view from there. Every time we have visitors we bring them here, and they never fail to mention how they enjoyed there visit there. Some who live in Toronto have the WEB-CAM of this place in their "Favourites.

Took the ferry from Portland, Maine to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia & drove back through NS then New Brunswick back to the US. This is a "must see" ... drive to it is very scenic as well. Morning walk through the trails is mesmerizing. Big place to have some picnic.

There has been a major lighthouse n this site for well over a century. The walking paths and vistas are superb, and the museum, located in the lightkeeper's house is highly informative. An absolute "must see!"

Stopped in here when on vacation, Didn't really expect much but it turned out to be really good. They had a little museum in the building and the trails had some awesome views.

We were told this was a must see spot. We left Yarmouth at our B&B location and only took 25 minutes to arrive, the drive is very scenic through small fishing ports along the way and winding roads. Once there you can feel the difference in the air as its windy and slightly cooler. Great place to take kids and... More

The lighthouse sits across the harbor from the town of Yarmouth. The view is just beautiful. There is a display of artifacts inside the lighthouse with a staff to answer your questions and tell you interesting facts about the history of the light. There is also a gift shop on site. A huge lawn chair sits between the lighthouse and... More

The cape forchu light station has a beautiful view of the harbor. It also has a very easy walking trail. It is also a good place to catch Pokemon.
