Stunning views of The Chief and the mountains, peaceful kayaking journey at high tide, abundant wildlife... we simply can't say enough about this experience. I would recommend a guide if you're not familiar with the tides and location.

Love the way the tall grass whips around, such a beautiful spot. Fun to see the Canadian Geese and their babies. They have taken one side for geese parents and their babies, no one else allowed! Love the old logs, views, beautiful spot.

If you want a quiet picnic spot or a place to watch the kite surfers... this is it. Did not check out the trails but they looked well marked.

We arrived to watch a fisherman pulling in his nets and holding the most fabulous huge salmon and to our delight seals bobbing for salmon treats.

The crown jewel of the estuary is the Spit, where we saw a pair of huge squawking ravens challenge the kiteboarders for air supremacy : -).

We saw lots of different birds in addition to a huge group of Canada Geese and their babies! Peaceful and quiet when we visited. No facilities so take care of business before you travel out to the Spit.

Our Airbnb had a trail that led to the estuary and it was a very pleasent surprise that we found this place. It is so nice, quiet, secluded yet accessible from downtown. We enjoyed a very good walk with our dog and took lots of...More

We went out on the spit and enjoyed the view, sun and breeze on March 25 and then decided to have our picnic on a sand bar of the Squamish River. Put up a wind break and had a great time with scenery all around....More
