We visited in the summer after it opened. I highly recommend it, especially if you want to see the beautiful mountains and Howe Sound... and after 20+ years of people telling me they could see the Chief from the highway (when I couldn't), I now...More

The Chief in Squamish is a really tough hike but the views at the top are unbelievable. The top is slightly tricky on the second Peak, however conquering if is part of the experience!

We took the Sea to Sky Gondola up here and really loved the experience. The views are just breathtaking. If you are in the area, just go here. That's it. JUST GO.

This is an awesome hike that we have been doing for decades, and the trail has improved over the years as it is so well used. IF you are having an issue at the start, then turn around. IT is steep, and in points quite...More

We did all three peaks in a counter-clockwise route. In hindsight, I would have done Peak three, then two, and called it a day. It took us ~6 hours, and in the last hour, I was pretty much done, so skipping crowds on Peak one...More

Took the hike to the first peak. It was more difficult than I had expected but the view at the top was well worth it. Water is not available so be sure to take some. Good shoes are a must. There is a sign at...More

Definitely worth the hike but be prepared to ascend, ascend and ascend some more. Take food, water and perhaps gaterade.

Really great challenging hike all uphill. Would say it's a intermediate hiking trail, not too hard but also not easy. Had to take several breaks. Took roughly 4-5 hours to complete including breaks. The view is amazing on the second summit. Highly recommend !

This was my first time doing the chief but I now know that you have to do the hike in order to take in the view. There is no view from the parking lot area. Pack a lunch and hydration and plan to spend a couple hours to hike... More
