Bring from Alberta, I didn't realize this was going to be a real hydro dam rather than one of many small country dams scattered throughout Alberta. We almost didn't go This thing is huge! Not as big as Hoover dam but in the same league....More

The Revelstoke dam is worth stopping at for a tour. What an amazing feat of engineering. We had a blast. Recommended

A first-rate tour --- casual, comfortable, very informative. The engineering surrounding the dam is very interesting particularly the recent addition of turbine #5. The film about moving #5 to the dam is mindboggling given the logistics. Really good exhibits. Highly recommended unless dams just bore...More

We went to the dam for the 10.30am tour. It was very interesting and amazing views from the top of the dam. The size of the dam is impressive. We learned a lot about hydro electric power.

You should check to see if you'll even be able to get to the parking lot. I don't think you will. They are pretty strict about security. With that said if you can get anywhere near it you may be amazed at how big it is but... More
