The perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon in Revelstoke. You don't have to be super into trains to appreciate the amazing history of the Canadian Pacific Railway and what it meant for the country. The museum is over two floors and took us about...More

This train museum has a lot of great railroading history, shown with interesting artifacts, and nicely restored rolling stock inside the absolutely beautiful building. There are fun hands on displays that appeal to all ages, including a locomotive simulator where you get to drive a...More

We would have visited anyway but it was a pleasure to have an inside attraction (for the most part) when the smoke outside was so unpleasant. This small museum is an absolute treasure. It is so well presented not just with railway memorabilia but also...More

Great museum with lots of railway history related to this side of the world, nice to compare with our own knowledge of UK railroad history. Quite understated considering Revelstoke is as it is because of the railway! Nice to see and climb aboard cabooses and...More

Really disappointed with the railway museum, we went to collect information and it was seriously lacking. Definitely not worth the $10 dollars each only spent 20 minuets inside

We visited here with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson, and we were all of the same opinion - that it's a beautifully presented collection and wonderfully informative, with 'hands on' aspects that children appreciate. Housed in what was, I think, the original passenger terminal building,...More

I don't know that I would call this a "must stop", unless you are a train geek, but it is well done and makes an enjoyable stop if you are looking to round out your day after other hiking or sightseeing. They have a great...More

Neither I nor my wife are real train buffs, but, we both really enjoyed our time here. Extremely well done, clean, good staff. It was / is a great glimpse into the past history of the area. These were some really tough people. Be sure...More
