Great cat skiing but mixed groups and snow conditions

i boarded for three days wth some some friends at K3 and had the best conditions of my life. From the minute they picked us up to the minute they dropped us off it was an excellent experience. Our Guides were top notch. Todd, Heather, and Kate are the best! Safety is paramount with K3. Our first day we did... More

Don't expect hardcore freeride. Nice guides on the whole, Luke was interesting, ex WC downhill MTBiker. The mixed groups were a major disappointment. very slow. not very steep. Few jumps available as we were told not to deviate far from the guides path...some of our group found it really taxing, and were exhausted. I never went fast enough consistently or... More

I signed up at the last minute, not knowing quite what to expect from my first day cat skiing. From start to finish it was fantastic, including the convenience of the door-to-door transfer service K3 offers for people staying in Revelstoke. The cats, avalanche equipment, drivers and guides were excellent, and we enjoyed fresh lines all day. One of the... More

Last March I enjoyed two days with K3 and it was a great experience, although some things didn't work out as expected. On the first day the temperature was bit too high and snow a bit too heavy but it happens, especially during el nino years. It was colder the next night and day and the now was way better,... More

We've just finished a day out with k3 and had an awesome experience. The weather was in our favour in that it had just snowed overnight but the experience was top notch due to the professional service on offer. Matt and Todd who hosted us couldn't have been friendlier and more knowledgeable about the terrain and we got to ski... More

1st time cat skiing on Feb 25, 2016. The terrain and un-tracked snow was excellent and have no complaints. The head guide knew the terrain without a doubt. The customer service though is certainly lacking. Upon being picked up at the hotel, the 2 staff members did not introduce themselves and during the 45 minute ride to the snow cats,... More

My first time cat skiing. Conditions were variable. We had some soft snow and sone dust on crust as well. The K3 came recommend to me by a local skiers and I was lucky to get on. Positive: they have their terrain away from the resort in another mountain range, the guides were running the show with safety in mind,... More

The people in K3 are great and the day was a lot of fun, however we did not achieve the stated number of expected runs of 8 to 12 due to a powder newbie who was considerably slower. K3 does not stratify their groups according to skier ability so the odds are high that on any particular day there will... More

Cat skiing was something neither my friend or I had ever done before. I can't say I wasn't a bit anxious. In am not a bad skier but I had no idea how far out of my comfort zone this would be. We were picked up from our motel and taken up a rugged track to where the Cats were... More

a new experience. a Norwegian who is used to being alone in the mountains and run their own trails , it was unusual to ski with mountain guide . nice people and good mood. fun with catski , but not very challenging . was mild this week and bright sun, so we got unfortunately not powder , but plenty of...
