I signed on for a Class 4 but barely got a class 2/3 coz the Kicking Horse River was only 70cumecs. Turn up when it's 150 cumecs for some real action! Still the operation was very professionally run, the guys/gals knew their stuff, and trained us well for what was ahead.

My husband and I went rafting on Aug.1/16. Tyler was our guide. We had a fantastic time from start to finish. My husband was extremely nervous in the beginning but Tyler seemed to calm him down. He had a smile the entire time. All staff were great, professional and extremely fun. Will definitely recommend to anyone!

My husband and I did the Maximum Horsepower trip, which consisted of a trip down the Kicking Horse River in a 16-foot boat and then another trip down the same stretch of river in a 14-foot boat. It was a really fun experience and I definitely suggest it to anyone who likes rafting! Our guide was Bruce, and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and tried to make it a great and safe time for all of us. He was also very solicitous of me when I started to get cold, and gave me an extra fleece and gloves and kept asking me how I was doing. You just don't see that kind of attention to customers all that often! I would definitely go with this company again.

Our family of four (mom, dad, and two boys, 6 & 12) took the "family friendly" tour and loved it! Great introduction to the river - a leisurely float to start then kicked it up a notch with some rapids. Perfect for newbies with little ones. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and most of all FUN. Nice hot lunch river side too. Looking forward to being able to do the second half of the trip when the kids are older!

I have never white water rafted before and this experience was amazing. I can't wait to do it again. The guide new her stuff and was very personable. She found out our names and remembered them. She was great!! She was sure to include everyone and made sure we all felt safe and were having a great time.

We had a great day with this group. Very professional and entertaining staff throughout the journey. We did the two runs of the middle canyon which was so much fun and left us itching to try the lower canyon another time. Nathalie was our guide and was fantastic - entertaining but serious where needed. Strong paddler and we felt at ease with her in the big water. The day and water were freezing but they are well equipped with wet suits, fleeces and rain jackets for everyone, booties and gloves. Use them all! I wasn't cold until the final few minutes but there are warm showers waiting :) and a hot chocolate/cookie break in the middle of the runs was a nice touch. Change rooms are very basic and toilet stalls not made for tall people at all in women's side.

You can do another package better suited for young kids in the mornings that just does some faster flat water higher up the river.

Thank you for choosing us to spend your rainy day with!! Whitewater rafting is the best activity to do when sightseeing and hiking are not an option. You are going to get wet anyways, and we dress you up warm! Thanks for a great day! Be sure to come and try a snowmobile tour with us From December to April!

1st time ever trying whitewater rafting and soo happy my gf booked Wet N Wild.
I'd always wanted to go and being it was raining when we got into Golden last night I almost bailed today but so glad I didn't.
I will DEFINITELY book with these guys again. I'm hooked !!!!!!!!!!!
Even the lunch was good.
If you're gonna book try to get on Zeb's raft. He's a Kiwi and is just an all round good guy. He's funny and will put you into to rough stuff if you want.
All I can say is I HIGHLY recommend this company.

My husband and I had an amazing time rafting down the Kicking horse river with the Wetnwild team! We did the Ultimate experience and even though the lower canyon was closed our second experience down the river was even better with more thrills and adrenaline rush. Our guide Natalie was amazing. Thanks so much to the Rafting team for such a super experience!

It is difficult to know which Company to choose when booking rafting. We chose this one because reviews were good and it offered a short rafting trip on the middle canyon, 12 pm to 3 pm, which fitted in with our plans for the rest of the trip. It describes this as a section of continuous class 3 and 4 rapids, mostly class 3 I would suggest, and lengthy periods of just slightly turbulent water, having said that it was fun if a little tame. It cost 104 CAD each and the company advises arrive early, so we did at 11. 45 for a 12 noon start. We did not leave wet and wild’s offices until after 1 pm, this was followed by a 30 min coach journey to the starting point on the river, further discussion on shore, we had about 30 minutes in the water (go pro footage confirms this) and were back at base following a further short coach journey at 2.20 pm. We were very disappointed that our time actually rafting was so very short, and were very cross that having been told to arrive early we did not leave base until after 1 pm. Nice people, good river commentary and guiding, hot showers afterwards, excellent communications but poor value for money.

Thank you for writing in! It sounds like you booked the "Kicking Horse Half Day", which we do have you check in shortly before 12 noon, and depending on how many guests we have to suit up, etc it takes some time to get everyone ready. We try to depart as soon as everyone is safely equipped with all the river gear they will need. Our bus ride to the river is 20 minutes or so, and once loaded into your rafts, you then paddle through the Class 3 or 4 rapids, and your time on the water varies with the speed of the river. Our tours normally take from 45 minutes when the water is fastest up to an hour and 20 minutes. We ensure safety first so there are adequate safety discussions at different points of the tour. It is then a quick 10 minute bus ride back to our base where a hot shower awaits! Hopefully next time we will have access to the lower canyon, where you will find the continuous Class 3 & 4 rapids! Thank you for coming! ~the Wet N Wild Team!!

My friends and I found out about Wet n Wild through a pamphlet at our hotel and were very pleased with our experience here. Everyone was very professional and the staff was super receptive to our questions! It was our first time white water rafting. The rafting itself was a lot of fun and we felt safe after the safety tutorial. At the end we voluntarily jumped into the kicking horse river with the water being 40°F! The wet suit kept us warm! Overall great experience! Would highly recommend!
