The facility is small and they only have 6 wolves within enclosures. The staff are knowledgeable but appear to have a political message to relay...very scripted speech. Our guide was distracted having to go and forth to attend to new arrivals as she was the...More
From the moment we walked in the shop the woman who I assumed ran the place was nosey and rude. We paid for our tickets to enter (too much, I might add), headed in and began to look around. There was a very rehearsed speech...More
We are all brought up to know that a wolf is “big and bad”. What we are not educated in, is the fact that if we remove one factor in the ecology of an area, it can unbalance that ecology. This has been proven by...More

Yes, I agree with the people above, it will take about 45 minutes. You can get a great map of the area from the Tourist Center on Highway 1. Also when driving those back roads be very watchful, as wildlife can jump out of the ditches so quickly that it can be frightening. Now it might be easier if there is a good amount of snow, you will be able to see them more easily. There won't likely be bears now, but perhaps deer. The Wolf Center is really worth the visit.
