We had the amazing day! It's a long day, and they provide some snacks and sandwiches and warm drinks. The scenery is stunning everywhere you look, you are always between islands so the water is pretty calm. Along the way, our naturalist/biologist gave us a lot of information on the grizzly bears and the area we were going to. I... More

We did both the whale watching and bear watching excursions and both were excellent. Sadly the we only saw one humpback but that was still amazing and the enthusiasm of the crew was second to none. Just the scenery alone makes it a fantastic day. The bear watching was absolutely amazing! we saw 14 which was just incredible. Again the... More

Grizzly bear watching in the Orford River was a highlight of our trip. It rained heavily all day which cut down the number of bears but we still saw three. It's a heart stopping moment when you see your first grizzly in the wild! Staff were excellent, very caring and totally concerned with the safety of visitors and the First... More

We went hoping to see one bear - in the end we saw 14, plus sea lions, killer whales, eagles and more. Fantastic staff - Chris and Johanna - and the Nomalco First Nations guides were also brilliant, especially Kalvin but probably unfair to single anyone out. We were lucky with the weather so would recommend making sure of wet... More

Did one of the last trips of the 2016 season and couldn't have picked a better day. Cool, crisp, sunny day with some beautiful scenery. Captain Chris and Ecologist Johanna along with Cheyenne and Wild Bill from the First Nations made sure the day was a special one for all on the tour. We were not rushed anywhere and whenever... A wonderful 2.5 hour cruise on calm waters through terrific scenery to Butte Inlet, with a light lunch to view these magnificent Grizzlies - a dozen or more - for 3 hours, in their natural environment feeding and playing in the sunshine under the care of their Native Caregivers, who have been doing this for Decades. Altogether, a marvelous total... More

What a wonderful experience. Skipper Chris was so personable & welcoming. Johanna was so knowledgeable & made sure to make everyone feel included. Cheyenne & WILD Bill from the Homalca First Nations were just so informative & welcoming and always had the concern of our safety first. What a tremendous team effort to provide the best experience possible. I would... More

The scenery on the boat trip from Campbell River to Orford Valley is truly spectacular and the two hour trip passed really quickly. The Crew, Captain Chris and Ecologist, Michelle, were wonderful. They stopped to let us watch a humpback whale, porpoises and Stellar Sea Lions. At Orford Valley we were met by members of the Homalco Nation who were... More

We chose the Grizzly Bear Safari in late September and had a great experience. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and look out for everyone's safety. The boat ride to Bute Inlet takes approximately two hours but the scenery is breathtaking. The crew will stop if there is wildlife -- porpoise, sea lions, whales, etc. to view and they will point...
