Nice pier walk...would go back and do it again. Hoped to see whales or seals but none on the days we were there! Lots of boats to see and lots of people fishing! Good stop!

We stopped at the Discovery Fishing Pier in attempt to catch a Salmon. We spoke to the small hut on the pier to rent some rods, and the lady advised us that we'd all need fishing licenses if the 4 of us wanted to fish....More

Great idea for families to fish but they fail to mention on their brochures and on the phone that you need a fishing license. So just want to say that before anyone heads there to be prepared. Some work on telephone etiquette would be nice...More

This fishing pier is over 180m in length and during summer weekends it's often very crowded with fisherpersons. Despite the numbers of optimistic souls casting in three directions, I'm yet to see a salmon caught* from this excellent fishing platform(!) Having fished piers, jetties and...More
