Just a short wait and a quick trip across the river but most enjoyable. It gives you a few minutes to reflect while enjoying the scenery.

If you want to get to the other side you'll need to board the ferry. Its a delightful 5 minutes of ones time and get you to the other side.

This was a great experience, just to say we had crossed the Red Deer River by boat made the short drive from Drumheller worthwhile.

This little free ferry delighted me more than the kids! I definitely think it's worth doing the Dinosaur Trail North Loop to ride this quirky little ferry! One of the last in Alberta.

North of Drumheller you can take the ferry across the Red Deer River. It is a short hop and only takes about 6 vehicles at a time. It is part of the Alberta roads system and a unique experience.

brought back memories or when I was on a similar ferry to my grandparents place. It is a very short trip but well worth it.
