We went on the boat trip (organised through our Tour Director so not sure how much it costs) with audio description of points of interest. Took about an hour and it was hot and sunny. Very informative, especially if you want to know how the Dressing got its name - I'm not going to tell you, you will have to... More

Taking a Cruise on the St Lawrence down through the thousand islands is a trip that no one should not experience. The view is breathtaking, the cruise is comfortable and you always meet at least one new friend. Nothing more needed in my life. I love the cruises.

A great place to explore, take a cruise or just picnic. 1000 islands has a lot of great character and scenery. Make more than a day of it.

Growing up here and having travelled quite a bit I would still say this is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful parts of the world. Autumn especially. If able to get out on the water even better.

We were on holiday in Kingston but didn't have a car. We were advised the best boat trip to the Thousand Islands was from Gananaoque. Since there is no public transport between Kingston and Gananaoque, we decided to rent a car from Enterprise. They picked us up at the hotel and the cost for the day was only $37.00. We... More

Spent 3 days in the area. Stayed in Gananoque, a pretty little town. Went to Sandbanks Provincial Park, which was stunning. Best beaches I've seen in Ontario although Long Point Provincial Point is a close 2nd. The Thousand Islands Parkway is an experience not to be missed. Follows along the water and has lots of pull offs at scenic areas... More

What a great boat tour this is! We had perfect weather and because we wanted to explore Gananoque itself which is a fascinating little town, we just took the one hour cruise. It was very well done and the guide gave a good run down of the history of the Thousland Islands and pointed out lots of interesting sights and... More

We did this tour in mid September. We ran into several light rain showers however the weather was warm so we just stayed out on the top deck and enjoyed the ride. We did the 2 1/2 tour and found the scenery fascinating. Be sure to take a camera along as there are certainly a lot of photo stops. If... More
