Dog Walker's Paradise

If you need a place to walk a dog, and don't want to be bothered. then come here to visit. Also nice for a nice hike in the fall and spring.

Great place to walk. Forest, fields, streams. Good parking (2 spots). Paths are clearly marked. Note there are no washrooms. Across the road from Lakehead University campus. Spring flowers are everywhere, lots of blackflies in the spring too. Quiet spots to observe birds, plants, wildlife. Hope it never gets developed.

If you're looking for a true nature walk this is the place to go. Natural terrain, and trails that go over hill and dale. Wear comfortable shoes suitable for hiking. I hear there's geocaching in this area, too.

Great trails for walking. We met few people on the trails on a school day, just another couple and some dog walkers with dogs off leash According to my iPhone step counter all trails were 17,000+ steps (12km)

This hiking spot is my favourite in the orillia area. The orange, blue and green trails are easy to navigate and well marked. Goes through the forest. great for dogs as well.

The Scout Valley is definitely not challenging to hike but it is nonetheless beautiful for the area it sits. Lots of lush greenery, streams and a lookout with views of the water in the distance.
