Small but fun

This is basically a research institute but they have a nice little collection and knowledgeable staff. Good for children also.

Isn't often you get to tickle the bellies of creatures who live in the sea or watch harbor seals being fed while you are treated to information about them or be informed of the scientific mission begun by Huntsman researching the Bay of Fundy. This museum has it all! Many reviewers comment on the attitudes of the staff. I want... More

Aw, thank you so much! It has been a constant theme for us... our excellent staff receive so many compliments, both for our customer service and our obvious love of our animals and educating the public. Thanks for your visit and your review, and we're glad you got your Hunstman pin! :) More

The Huntsman Fundy Discovery Aquarium was delightful. We were able to watch the seahorses, the salmon and the harbor seals be fed. The women doing the feedings were so knowledgeable. Not only did they describe the feedings. They were great in answering all the questions. You knew that they were very knowledgeable and not just giving a spiel. It was... More

This is a very small aquarium. We spent about an hour there. My children toured the bottom in about 20 minutes and then spent about 40 playing in the tide pools where they could touch lobster, skate, sea cucumbers, starfish and more.

We enjoyed the Aquarium and we watched the feeding of the salmon, the sea horses and the seals. It was extra interesting because Loki the seal comes from storeybook gardens in London and I remember that when I was a child they had seals that did tricks in London and Loki did tricks just like I remember the ones back... Went with 3 small children, they loved to touch the starfish and crabs. Highly recommend going at feeding time!

Thank you! We have morning salmon, seahorse and seal feedings starting at 10:15, and afternoon feedings starting at 3:00-- they are always very popular. You might also catch an unscheduled "out of the blue" feeding of our other tanks; we save all of our feedings for our opened hours so guests can watch, too! Thanks again both for your visit,... Of course “discovery” is a code word for “children’s”—maybe 25% of the space is just a playroom. The variety of sealife in the aquariums were limited. The touch tank contained only perhaps 6 or 8 species. Exhibits concentration on aquaculture, but don’t go into adequate detail (on the scope, variety, and techniques) to adequately cover the subject of aquaculture in... More

Our touch tank has about 16 species at the moment, we just counted. Sometimes the more you look, the more you see :) Including fish species in our exhibit tanks, we have over 50 species in the Aquarium. We're glad you joined us and made us part of your day! More

Our family spent about 3 hours looking at displays and watching demo's. Everyone had fun, child to grandparent. The are also a lot of gorgeous paths around the main building. The sea life was amazing the kids were friends with a skate by the end; we had to drag them away. The gift shop had the coolest laminated waterproof bird... More
