The beach is really nice and spacious. I had a nice walk along the shore and there seems to be a lot of places to sit, relax, have a picnic, and take in the view. I visited during off season so I can only rate it based on that. I look forward to returning during peek season to see what... More

Went to this park specifically to see the sand sculptures and was very impressed with all of them. Weather was perfect but I couldn't spend as much time as I would have liked because I had to leave my dog in my camper as she was not allowed in the sculpture area.

Qualicum Beach (the beach itself) is a wonderful place to relax. It's much more open than Parksville Beach and much more dog friendly. It's a great place to watch big waves and spectacular sunsets.

Looks like a very nice place to swim., lots of people having picnic tables, and they are all in use by all ages. Bring a bathing suit and towel, enjoy and have lots of fun.

The water is warm. The beach is huge and mostly sandy (there are parts of the beach that are rocky). The water is shallow and not a lot of waves so kids have lots of safe places to play. And because it is shallow you can walk pretty far out into the ocean and still be only up to your... More

I was at this cute little beach one super windy night, (so much so that I couldn't feel my face afterward.) It was an excellent spot for watching the copious waves breaking. Bonus of sunset to the left and full moon rise to the right. Nice place regardless of weather or time of day.

Park right in front (no charge) a small grass strip separated by a sidewalk and entrances to the beach. Fabulous views, hear sea lion, haven't see one yet. Watch the cruise ships go up to Alaska from across the Georgia Strait. Beaches are available to sit and absorb the view, heaps of people walk their dogs, public restrooms, and ice... More

Recently moved here and love it. People care about each other, parks are plentiful, activities are numerous, beach is terrific, local shopping is interesting and varied, prices are reasonable, clubs are numerous with many different times/locations available, the Civic centre is well-used and the town itself is kept pristine. Love the Saturday morning farmer's market also.

I spent a few hours on a sunny fall day hanging out along the shoreline in Qualicum Beach. At various points along the shoreline, there are areas where you can pull off Highway 19A (Island Highway) and park. At these parking points, there are portions of paved paths that run parallel along the beach. You can walk down from the... More

Beautiful beach with the odd eaterie along the boardwalk. The only drawback is that the road is right ehind you but there is a grass strip between beach and parking area. The beach is long and when the tide is out it makes for a nice walk. Kayak and paddle board rentals available .
