One of our favorite of the National Parks in the Canadian Rockies. Beautiful red rock cliffs, canyons, Aqua Lakes, Hot Springs, Waterfalls and much more. A must visit!

Driving trip on the way to Radium. Stopped along the way at various roadside hiking trails. Had a great day at Radium Hot Springs after a muddy hike at Sinclair Trail.

This route through the Rockies is very scenic with several large viewpoints. Spring or Fall is the best time to drive Highway 93.

This was my second time through the park in about 15 years-first time in winter. Concerned as usual about the red trees damaged by the mountain pine beetle, but other than that it was pure splendour. According to the gov of Canada, this is part...More

Beautiful park and worth it to see the springs, BUUUT it's definitely a family park. My bf and I had a tiny campsite nestled between two very large families (not that this is a bad thing) but it's not very spacious in some areas and...More

While I wouldn't go to the area just to visit Kootenay, it is worth visiting. The scenery is still beautiful and with less of the crowds than Banff. The Paint Pots sounded really interesting but it's basically red dirt and big green puddles. I wouldn't...More

Ended up at Radium Hot Springs. Good day trip. Lots of stops along the way. Couldn't get up to Stanley Glacier as didn't have suitable footwear for the snow.

It.depends upon how many stops you make. I took three hours but stopped many times to photograph the varied landscape. If you don't stop 1:45 hours end to end.
